Plaited Neck Scrunchie Free Knitting Pattern Instructions
Cast on 11 stitches. Run a contrasting piece of yarn through the 11 original stitches. Work in st st for 66 inches always slipping the first stitch. Place stitches on stitch holder. With Right Side facing, pick up 11 stitches from the original cast on row. Work the second strip of 11 stitches in seed stitch. All rows *Knit 1, Purl 1* repeat* to end for approximate 65 inches. Place stitches on stitch holder. With Right Side facing, pick up 11 stitches from the cast on row and work 3rd strip in st st with the purl side as the Right Side. Work for 65 inches and place on holder. Block the 3 strips. Braid the 3 strips to create a uniform plait. Place the 3 stitch holders so that they are on top of one another in order. Knit together one stitch from each holder ( 3 stitches ). There will now be 11 stitches on the live needle. Pick up 11 stitches from the cast on edge. Using the 3rd needle bind of method,join the plait into a circle. Weave in loose ends.
