Lapghan Knitting Patterns Materials

  • Red Heart® Comfort®: 1 ball each 3240 Cream A, 3152 Demin B,3151 Navy C.
  • Susan Bates® Knitting Needles:5 mm [US 8].
  • TENSION: 17 sts = 4” [10 cm]; 24 rows = 4” [10 cm]. CHECK YOUR
  • TENSION. Use any size needles to obtain the tension.
  • Red Heart® Comfort®, Art. E707D available in 454g (16 oz), 792m (867 yds) solid balls or 340g (12 oz), 593 m (649 yds) multicolour balls.

Lapghan measures 37½” [95 cedi meters] square

Lapghan Knitting Patterns Strips 1 and 4

STRIPS 1 and 4

With Color A, cast on 33 stitches.

Row 1 (Right side): Knit across.

Row 2: Purl 1, (Knit 1, Purl 1) across.Repeat Rows 1 and 2 for pattern until piece measures 7½” [19 cedi meters] from cast on edge, ending by working Row 2, drop Color A.

With Color B, repeat Rows 1 and 2 for pattern until piece measures 15” [38 cedi meters] from cast on edge, ending by working Row 2, drop Color B.

With Color C, repeat Rows 1 and 2 for pattern until piece measures 22½” [57 cedi meters] from cast on edge, ending by working Row 2, drop Color C.

With Color A, repeat Rows 1 and 2 for pattern until piece measures 30” [76 cedi meters] from cast on edge, ending by working Row 2, drop Color A.

With Color B, repeat Rows 1 and 2 for pattern until piece measures 37½” [95 cedi meters] from cast on edge, ending by working Row 2.

Bind off all stitches in pattern.

With Color B, cast on 33 stitches.

Thread yarn needle with desired color. With right sides together, using the photo as a guide and matching rows, sew strips together in numerical order.
