Crochet Hook: 6.5mm [US K-10.5].
Yarn needle.
GAUGE: one chevron (10 sts) = 27/8” across; 11 rows = 8” in pattern. CHECK YARN OVERUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge.
SPECIAL ABBREVIATION:
Dc2tog = yarn over and draw up a loop in next chain or st, yarn over and draw through 2 loops, skip next 2 chain or next st, yarn over and draw up a loop in next chain or st, yarn over and draw through 2 loops, yarn over and draw through all 3 loops on hook.

SIDE PANELS (Make 2): With B, chain 92.
Row 1 (Right Side): Dc in 3rd chain from hook, dc in next 2 chain, * dc2tog **, dc in next 3 chain, chain 2, dc in next 3 chain; repeat from * to last 3 chain, end at **; dc in next 2 chain, 2 dc in last chain; turn – 89 sts.
Row 2: Chain 2, dc in first dc, * dc in next 2 dc, dc2tog (skip the dc2tog below), dc in next 2 dc **, (dc, chain 2, dc) all in chain-2 space; repeat from * to last st, end at **; 2 dc in top of chain-2; turn.
Repeat Row 2 for pattern and continue stripe pattern as follows: 4 more rows B, [4 rows C, 2 rows A, 4 rows C, 6 rows B] 5 times. Fasten off.

CENTER PANEL: With B, chain 42. Work same as for Side Panel over 39 sts in stripe pattern as follows: 4 more rows B, [2 rows C, 2 rows A, 2 rows C, 2 rows A, 2 rows C, 6 rows B] 5 times. Fasten off.
FINISHING: Sew side panels to center panel, matching stripes as in photo. With right side facing and B, work 1 row slip st evenly along top and bottom of afghan. Weave in ends.
