Free Crochet Pattern Snowman Wine Cozy Instructions


The wine cozy is worked using two strands of yarn. You can either pull a strand from both the outside and inside of the yarn skein or wind a small ball to use as your second strand.

Row 1: Using two strands of White color yarn, make a magic ring, chain three (counts as first double crochet) eleven double crochet in ring (twelve double crochet total). Slip stitch to first stitch.

Row 2: Chain three (counts as one double crochet here and throughout), one double crochet in same stitch as joining, two double crochet in each of the remaining stitches. Slip stitch to first stitch. (twenty-four stitches)

Even Double Crochet Work:

Rows 3-12: Chain three for first stitch, double crochet in remaining stitches (twenty-four stitches) Slip stitch to first stitch. Change to Scarlet color in joining slip stitch of last round.

Row 13: With Scarlet and using a double strand of yarn, Chain three for first stitch, double crochet in remaining stitches (twenty-four stitches) Slip stitch to first stitch.

Row 14: Continuing with Scarlet, Chain three for first stitch, then, working in the back loop only this round, double crochet in remaining stitches (twenty-four stitches) Slip stitch to first stitch.

Making the Tie:


With White, chain eighty-five, single crochet in second chain from hook and across. Fasten off and weave in ends. Weave tie over and under two double crochet around row sixteen and tie into a bow.

With Red, chain eighty-five, double crochet in third chain from hook and in each chain across. Fasten off, weave in ends.

Crocheting the Nose:
